What is the Undead prom & murder mystery
The UnDead Prom & Murder Mystery is a Halloween Party that is part murder mystery that is in its third year taking place in October 2018 from 7-11pm at 120 East Colorado Street Glendale California at the Elks Lodge. Attendees come dressed as the undead and enjoy music provided by a vampire, comedy from a dead comedian, a live band and a Photo Booth The first hour features desserts to die for and the cash bar features a variety of undead drinks throughout the night. All proceeds from the cash bar benefit the Elks Lodge. During the 4 hour long event is a murder mystery happening within the party. Attendees participating in the murder mystery event are assigned a character and get a chance to be crowned UnDead King & Queen.
how long is the event
The event actually can start before individuals even arrive for the UnDead Prom by starting to interact and connect on the UnDead Student Forum through the website and reading the UnDead Student Newsletter. The event itself is 4 hours long and is divided into 4 sections.
1st Hour is Check-in, Dessert Bar, and Starting to Mingle.
2nd Hour is a 15 minute Comedy Show, and Starting to Solve the Murder
3rd Hour is Either Attempting to solve the Murder Mystery or enjoying music provided by the UnDead DJ.
4th hour is Announcing the Prom King & Queen along with who the Murderer is and 30 minutes performance from Nancy Nightmare & The Wizard.

How old must attendees be
Those attending the event must be at least 18 years old to attend the event and 21 years old to consume alcohol. Everyone attending the event needs to bring legal photo ID to prove their age before receiving their Welcome Kit and being allowed to enter the event. Security will be on site.

UnDead Prom attendees do not have to participate in the murder mystery. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy an evening with your fellow undead friends to include dancing and meeting new people. You can still end up seeing the murder or witness something, during the time that Murder Mystery guests are determining who murdered the victim, details of the murder will be announced to everyone at the UnDead Prom.

how does the cash bar work
The Elks Lodge is a Non-Profit Organization and utilizes a cash only bar. The lodge will be creating specialty drinks for the evening to reflect the UnDead Prom Theme. The bar is conveniently located next to the event room and a door leads directly into the bar area without separating from the UnDead Prom. Tipping your bartender is highly encouraged just as it always is no matter where you go. All proceeds from the cash bar go directly to the Elks Lodge.
how the undead prom king & Queen selected
All UnDead Prom Murder Mystery participants will be voting on who they want to be King or Queen. The first hour of the Prom will be everyone getting to know each other. Each Murder Mystery participant will have a number that they will be wearing that allows all Murder Mystery participants to know who to vote for. Voting for the King & Queen will be done by a ballot by placing the UnDead Prom Student Number on the ballot form and turning it in by the set time. It is important that all Murder Mystery participants introduce themselves to each other to be able to locate the other characters they are connected to along with getting more into character.

seating arrangements
Murder mystery participants will be assigned a table. You MUST notify UnDead Prom one week in advance if you would like to be seated with someone else participating in the Murder Mystery. All Murder Mystery Participants are required to complete the UnDead Student Participant Forms based on their level of participation.
Event Only Tickets do no included seating and they may sit in the cash bar area along with chairs setup around the stage to view the entertainment.

dress code policy
Very simple dress code. Think gothic, vampires, zombies and undead bodies. No bright colors. Samples can be found here.
Cancelation & Refund policy
Once individuals are confirmed for the UnDead Prom and funds are received there is no partial or full refunds of any tickets. All sales are final. Murder Mystery Participant Tickets maybe transferable if UnDead Prom is notified a month in advance. UnDead Prom Tickets maybe transferable if UnDead Prom is notified one week in advance. Murder Mystery Participants arriving after 7:15pm forfeit their character in the murder mystery and will be downgraded to generic tasks and using their moral names.
